Two Militants killed in Handwara one from Palhallan.

Two militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Handwara area of Kupwara district on Monday, police said. Superintendent of police HandwaraGhulamJeelani said that two militants were killed in Rajwar area “after they attacked a police party police identified the slain militants as Toib Mir of BrathKalan, Sopore and Ashiq Ahmad Bhat of Palhalan—both belonging to HizbulMujahide militants fired upon a joint party of Handwara police, army’s 21 RR and 92 battalion CRPF who were performing Naka duties near Sultanpora Crossing, Zachaldara, Handwara. A report said that massive protests rocked Palhalan and Sopore areas after the news about the militants’ killing spread.
