Srinagar: Two days after four civilians were killed by government forces during a gunfight with holed up militants in Wani Mohalla, Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, local population continue to be terrified as jet aircrafts hover over many areas of Shopian, Kulgam and Tral.

In Kulgam gunfight, the forces had used helicopter gunships while fighting two militants. However, due to stiff resistance by locals, the forces called off the operation midway while the militants fled from the spot. One army personnel was also killed in the initial exchange of gunfire.
